Rich History
Highgarden was first established in the early 1900’s and has a long history with the early mountain settlers whom built the original homestead in 1922. In 1956 Vincent and Vonda Youngman purchased the property as a weekender but very quickly fell in love with the mountain and moved permanently from Brisbane.
Cultivating
the dream
In the early 1980’s, Vin & Vonda’s son John and his wife Christine, moved in with their young family and spent the next 35 years creating much of what Highgarden estate has become today.
A new chapter
Today, Highgarden Estate’s rich history and legacy lives on as the third generation of the Youngman family embark on its next chapter. After living abroad for 12 years, John & Christine’s son Ian along with his wife Samantha and their young family have returned to Australia with a desire to add their layer to the history of this stunningly unique property.
